The recipients of the 2025 Red Room Poetry Fellowship have been announced.

Congratulations to our WestWords-Varuna Emerging Writers’ Residency recipients; Ruth Larner, KT Major, Lucia Nguyễn and Danielle Osifo

Phoebe Grainer (Djungan), Gabrielle Journey Jones, Theresa Violet Sainty (Pakana), Aunty Kerry Bulloojeeno Archibald Moran, Natalie Damjanovich-Napoleon, Ella Jeffery and Aloma Davis have been selected for the 2024 Red Room Poetry Fellowship.

Leveraging the presence of over 200 award-winning writers who visit Varuna each year, the funding will transform the extraordinary cultural wealth of Varuna from being a residential asset enjoyed by relatively few, to being a place that all members of the community can enjoy.
